Copying writes the prepared text to your device’s clipboard after your action. Downloading creates a local plain-text file. Browser autofill, session restoration, clipboard history and downloaded-file retention are controlled by your browser or operating system.
Review the draft before sharing it. Avoid including home addresses, vehicle identifiers, passwords, financial details or unnecessary information about other people. Clearing the page does not necessarily erase clipboard history or downloaded copies.
Email correspondence
If you choose to send an email, the recipient and email service providers receive the information you include, your sender address and associated email metadata. Correspondence may be used to answer the request, investigate a correction, address misuse or meet applicable legal obligations. Do not use email for urgent safety incidents.
